#19 Sleepless in Seattle

I love Romantic/Comedies and Sleepless in Seattle is a Nora Ephron classic. A young boy gets his newly widowed father on a radio show and this somehow promotes him to every eligible, and non-eligible, woman in the US looking for a wonderful, caring, decent man. Women fell in love with a man speaking his deepest thoughts and feelings. Does a man like that actually exist in the world? It is a fantasy, but with some much needed comedic relief. Nobody can be make a Rom-Com like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Their chemistry is amazing and I love the music too.

#20 The Sound of Music

This is another movie that I pretty confident the whole world has seen. I grew up watching musicals. I love the way a song from a musical can get stuck in your head and play all day. Songs from this movie can definitely do that.  I think everyone knows songs from The Sound of Music.

The songs make me feel like a kid again at home watching it with my family and everything was going right with the world.

#21 The Princess Bride

I would be very surprised if anyone hasn't seen this movie. It is quoted on a daily basis.

It is a fairy-ale. Everyone loves a good fairy-tale nowadays. This great movie has everything included in a fairy-tale and then some. It also has great writing and the book is awesome as well. I love it because it has wonderful dialogue that is quoted by many generations and will probably continue it's popularity forever. I want to write something like that someday. Maybe, it is a foolish dream, but I think of that when I watch this movie and I don/t think many others think the same. For that reason, The Princess Bride is like comfort food for me.

#22 It's Complicated

First of all, what a great title! The title of a movie is so important. Plus an Nancy Meyers movie, I think, is a work of art. She writes wonderful leading characters. The main character is usually a very confident, financially established, strong, older woman. Her movies are mostly romantic-comedies geared toward the enjoyment of older age group of audiences, which I find tends to be lacking noways. She takes a terrible situation and turns it into something realistic, but with a touch of humor added to it.

#23 Gone With the Wind

Just thinking about writing this post makes me think of the famous theme song and it has been playing in my head all day long. Yes, the music is memorable, also a majority of the dialogue is used in today's pop culture. The writing is incredible and so is the acting.

This movie has always given me peace and hope for the future. I love seeing how seeing how much the Scarlet character had changed from the beginning to the end of the end of the film. The movie showed how the rough situation had changed her view on life and what was really important to her.
